$350 new patient visits
Dr. Beasley is NOT a participating TennCare provider. While she is happy to still see patients who are covered by TennCare and willing to pay out of pocket, TennCare does NOT cover any prescriptions written by out of network providers. This means that if you choose to see Dr. Beasley and have TennCare, any prescriptions written by Dr. Beasley will NOT be covered by TennCare. This is a longstanding issue that she has attempted many times to appeal unsuccessfully.
No matter how you identify, you are valid and your mental health matters. Dr. Beasley’s practice is an open and affirming space for everyone, and she welcomes the entire LGBTQIA community and their loved ones.
Dr. Beasley is seeing patients in person whenever possible based on health and comfort level. If you are fever-free and otherwise healthy AND feel comfortable meeting in person, please plan to do so unless directed otherwise. She is doing her best to contact people on her schedule at least 24 hours in advance to confirm preferences, but you can always reach out to confirm as well. Please feel free to text her at 423-443-2120 if you have questions about your appointment. For the most part, the Doxy system works well for virtual appointments if needed, so don’t hesitate to use this resource if for any reason you need to be at home when you are scheduled. Given the current COVID-19 virus caseload in Hamilton County, it is safest for you to meet through video or phone for your scheduled appointment. However, decisions will be made on a case by case basis whether this is the best choice for your care. Please plan to connect with Dr. Beasley via text within 24 hours of your appointment to verify whether your appointment will be in person or remote.
Regulations as of 7/10/20 for in-person appointments are that patients are fever-free and have no known COVID-19 contacts within the past two weeks. Additionally, all persons at the clinic will be required to wear masks for the duration of the Hamilton County mandate.
Due to the current CDC recommendations, I am only holding appointments by phone or via video through doxy.me. It is vital that we all do our part to reduce the burden on our healthcare system as this virus spreads through our community. Please confirm with me prior to your appointment time how you would like to communicate. Doxy.me is a video service that is easy to access through most web browsers on a laptop or mobile device. You can reach me through the following link at your appointment time:

Feeling more down, sad, “blah” during the colder months is an issue that many people face. Usually it’s because of the fewer hours of daylight. For many people, using a light box can be helpful. Light boxes should be 10,000 Lux, which refers to the quality of the light given off by the device. Amazon has these for safe for $100 or less. Here is a link to a quality box on Amazon.com if you are interested in trying one. To use it, place it on a table about 2 feet away from your eyes. You do not have to stare directly at it, so it can be used while reading the paper or doing homework, for example. Use it for about 30 minutes a day for good effect. Feel free to ask me if you have any questions about it.
